PIPING
The choice of pipe material for a RAS application, whether underground or aboveground, is an important decision of an entire project – and in principle surpassing cost concerns. Typical choices in aquaculture or RAS are PVC or HDPE.
Many factors come into consideration when choosing: heat or frost exposure, weight forces etc. At IAA, we have staff who are knowledgeable in all pipe applications including buried pipe applications and design. However, regardless of choice of piping material – they are all expensive – IAA constantly focus on rationalizing piping lay-out and minimizing costly piping.
